      My sister and I had to sell my mothers house, a probate sale of a house we had both known as children 40 years ago, James Alexander couldn't have done more for us. A very realistic va]uation, friendly and professional, time not an issue at a point in my life when honesty and time mattered. Then it got better!!!!!!!! When we were ready to sell they advised us about best marketing price and how to go about getting the best offer, not over pricing , no promising the earth and unable to deliver as other agents would have tried. Kens team are lovely. They are friendly and kind. I could almost be their only customer, every detail remembered. They worked their socks off showing our home to the many interested buyers. then helped us chose the best buyer (the highest offer isn't always the best bet). We have been kept in the loop at every stage, phone calls keeping us updated, being fab go-betweens for us and our buyers. They even did everything twice as my sister and I aren't reliably communicating. We have ended up with a non conventional contract (work between exchange and completion) which might have been a scary nightmare but Ken and his team have seen every possibility over the years and made it so easy and simple. All the solicitor had to do was cross Ts and dot Is. I have felt so safe with J Alexander's knowledge and experience that as a result we have a super buyer and a happy seller with minimal stress. Thank you Ken and team!! Use them - either to buy or sell - they couldn't make a potentially traumatic job easier or more fun (if buying and selling can be fun)

      James Alexander (JA) have been managing my three studios for the last three years ; I recently sold one and asked JA to conduct the sale. As a solicitor myself I have high expectations of service; the team at James Alexander are truly excellent. They are quick to respond and find practical solutions to problems; they always help to maintain great relationships between landlords and tenants and always supply all documents on time in an easy format. The key critical difference between JA and other agents in the area ( who I also used sometimes ) was that JA tenants are always very good; ie JA carefully check and verify the tenants to ensure they are not disrespectful of others property and trash it ( unlike the other agents tenants all of whom caused several problems and hence the reason me selling one of the studios and transferring others to JA away from the other agents). With respect to the sale : this was conducted very professionally and at times although it looked as if it could fall through JA managed to achieve it to my great delight. I will never let the 2 studios I have be managed by anyone other than JA if I can avoid that as the stress caused by other agents exceptionally poor management plus the amounts of money that I have lost through the other agents incompetence defy belief : I have decided it is simply not worth using anyone else for lettings management. If you want a good service with no nonsense and you don't want to pay for an agents learning curve ( by making mistakes with your property and losing you money) then I would certainly recommend JA very highly.

      The team at James Alexander were fantastic throughout the entire process. From coming to value the house, throughout the various viewings and negotiating stages, through to exchange and completion, I felt completing reassured that they were working to deliver the best outcome. The team were always really responsive and made me and my wife feel as though we were a priority, despite knowing that it was an incredibly busy period for the James Alexander office. I would highly recommend them
